From Templenoe to Western Australia – Murish O’Connell’s latest rally adventure down under

The opportunity came up to sit in with Frank O’Shea for the Karri Rally in Manjimup.
Frank is originally from Glengarriff and has been fast in his “DCL Contracting” WRX right from the start , winning the Motorsport Australia WA Rookie Driver of the Year 2022.
The Karri Rally is always the most high -peed event of our season .
This year’s route also had a few very narrow high-speed sections, so it was a good test of committing to the notes and pushing on where possible .
The level of competition at State Championship has stepped up again this year with larger entry lists and many more R5 cars.
