The Irish Drift Championship coming to Kerry this weekend

 The Irish Drift Championship (IDC) is thrilled to announce its latest venue, the sensational ‘360 Motorsports Park’ in Kilflynn, Co. Kerry. This former Hot Rod Oval has undergone a remarkable transformation, emerging as a modern, high-octane motorsport arena. 

Marking its inaugural appearance in the Kingdom, the IDC is set to bring a thrilling brand of motorsport to Kilflynn like never before. This two-day extravaganza, scheduled for September 2nd and 3rd, promises to captivate both dedicated motorsport enthusiasts and newcomers alike. 

The 360 Motorsports Park offers a thrilling twist to the IDC calendar, with its unique elevation changes and banked corners. It’s a challenge that’s sure to test the mettle of over 100 skilled drivers from across Ireland. Among them, 16-year-old Colin O’Sullivan from Kilflynn, enters the fray in the junior class. He follows in the tire tracks of his father, former rally driver Tommy O’Sullivan, ensuring that motorsport prowess runs deep in their family. Another Kerry native, Kieran McNamara from Miltown, will be competing in the Pro 2 class, aiming to showcase his drifting prowess on the grand stage. 

The weekend’s action-packed schedule kicks off on Saturday with Pro 2 competitions and practice sessions, setting the stage for an intense showdown. The top 10 drivers from Saturday’s qualifiers will advance to the main event on Sunday, promising adrenaline-pumping entertainment for spectators.
