Devine and O’Sullivan’s start-to-finish victory on Sunday’s ALMC Rally means that both the main Triton Showers Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship title protagonists now have three wins a piece.
The sixth round of the Triton Showers-backed Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship took place town of Oldcastle, County Meath on Sunday.
Devine and O’Sullivan added another success to their Midland Moto Rally and Sligo Stages victories earlier in the season.
Their main championship rivals, Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty were third in Oldcastle and have already won the Circuit of Kerry, the Cavan Stages and the Raven’s Rock Rally.
Just two rounds remain, the Clare Stages in September and the Fastnet Rally in West Cork over the October Bank Holiday weekend.
Shane Buckley and Andrew Purcell were also in action in County Meath. They finished the event in what was their last outing in a Ford Fiesta.

Kerry Winter Rally winner, Richard Moffatt, reunited with Milltown’s Ger Conway and were tenth in their Toyota Starlhe suspension at the first service halt.
Mike Quinn and Kieran Doherty enjoyed their first trip to any rally in County Meath and brought their Ford Escort Mk2 home in 37th place overall – the highest-placed al-Kerry crew in the event.
David Slattery and Denis Coffey were eight in class 13 in their Escort despite the car’s two rear suspensions failing on the final loop of stages.
Cookstown-based Colm Browne, originally from Brosna and Michael Browne were lacking confidence after a shunt on the recent Loughall Rally but were happy to make the finish, even without a working clutch in their Ford Escort G3.
There was no such luck for Ger O’Brien and John Liston who retired their Escort with gearbox issues. Co-driver Ger Somers also failed to finish after the Escort he shared with Raymond Spence developed a rear differential problem.
