There is always a Kerry connection – Lahti Historic Rally Finland!

It was taken in the service park of the Lahti Historic Rally in Finland over the weekend.
The rally is a counting round of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship.
This GAZ 24 Volga rally car was driven by Ari Saxberg, a Finnish rally championship regular. He has driven everything from Toyota Corollas to a Skoda Fabia R5 but this weekend’s rally was his first outing in the GAZ.
The GAZ-24 Volga manufactured by the Gorky Automobile Plant (Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod, GAZ) in Russia from 1970 to 1985.
