Jack O’Grady was the sole Kerry representative at the Go Classic Bike Festival at Bishopscourt over the long weekend.
The Balyduff racer entered his 600cc Yamaha in both the Supersport and Superbike classes with a ninth-place finish in the open Supersport race the best result of his weekend.

He did not finish the opening Supersport race after being taken out by another rider on the opening lap.
“ I was so far back by the time I got back on I decided to wheel off and out of the race,” he said.
He made amends in the second Supersport race on Sunday, taking a hard-earned ninth overall among some of the best racers in the country.
The class included top riders like Caolan Irwin, Adam McLean and Luke Johnson, all race winners in the past and all with British Superbike Championship racing experience.
“I would be happy to be in the same conversation as these lads, never mind race them,” he added.
A mix-up in the Superbike qualifying session meant he was forced to start at the back of the grid for the first “Big Bike’ race but was able to recover to 12th despite racing a 600cc machine against far more powerful opposition.
