KDMC 2’s first event this Friday night
KDMC 2 is kicking off with a (car) treasure hunt on Friday.
Last week Killarney and District Motor Club has launched a new youth arm of the club.
The KDMC 2 youth programme is the idea of the club’s vice chairman Mike Shea.
He has roped in some of the club’s most experienced members like Paul Nagle, Noel O’Sullivan, Mikie Galvin and Rob Duggan to make the sport more accessible to younger members.
The competitors will host a series of informal chats and get-togethers, away from the formalities of club meetings and will share their experiences with younger fans.
The first event is a car treasure hunt on Friday night.
“Meeting in Faha Court (V93 AY82) around 6.30pm for a drivers’ briefing. It will involve driving around Killarney and surrounding areas to find clues and answers. All welcome so feel free to come with friends and family or we can find a seat for you too,” said organiser Mike Shea.
Just as newspapers and magazines are paid for, digital editorial content will also have to be paid for.
