A third generation of the famous O’Connor rally family is set to make his motorsport debut this weekend.
Mikey O’Connor Jr Jr, the 13-year-old son of Mikey Jr and co-driver Sinead O’Keefe will make his competitive bow at the Carrick-on-Suir Motor Club’s autocross on Sunday.
He will drive a Chevrolet Spark rally car in the event.
His father, mother, uncles, grandfather and granduncles are all members of the well-known O’Connor family from West Limerick and North Kerry.
All are loose surface specialists and compete mainly in forest rallies and autocross events.
