Five Kerry competitors entered in the Circuit of Ireland
Just five Kerry competitors will start Saturday’s so-called Circuit of Ireland Rally.
The eight stage event – a shadow of its former glory – is based in an electrical wholesalers depot.
The most exciting innovation is the service park is the Coookstown 100 Road Racing Paddock.
The rally is the third round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship.
The third seed for the event is Callum Devine from Derry and he will be co-driven by Noel O’ Sullivan from Killarney in a Volkswagen Polo GTi R5.

Milltown’s Ger Conway returns to the co-driver’s seat of Gareth MacHale similar machine for the first time since the Stonethrowers Rally last July.
John McCarthy from Currow is back alongside John Devlin in a Ford Escort Mk2 after co-driving for Peter Wilson on Sunday’s Circuit of Kerry.
The Browne family from Dungannon and Brosna compete as a team with Tyrone-based Colm Browne driving and co-driver Christopher Browne making the long trip north. They will share Colm’s Ford Escort G3.
