Eddie Kennelly preparing to tackle Galway International Rally for the first time
North Kerry driver Eddie Kennelly has placed an entry for next month’s Corrib Oil Galway International Rally.
It will be the Class 11R Ford Escort driver’s first attempt at the two-day rally.
In fact his last two-day event was the 2004 Rally of the Lakes.
“There is no Circuit of Kerry this year, and the Rally of the Lakes is six months away, there is nothing much else happening so we decided to have a go. A man is not getting any younger – I got a brainwave during Christmas, the car was ready and we stuck in an entry.”
Eddie will be co-driven by Paul McGlinchy and his service crew will be led by Clare-based Rally driver Richard Casey.

Please note the entry list for the Galway International Rally is not finalised and this story is based on entries received and not the final accepted entry list.
