Kerry crews Bushwhacker round up
Denny Greaney was the first member of Kerry Motor Club to contest an Irish rally this year when he contested Saturday’s Bushwhacker Rally near Omagh.
He was out one day before the Cork ‘20’ on Sunday making a small little bit of club history…
He was alongside Cork driver Mark Murphy for the fast event dubbed the Omagh Grand Prix.
“It was fantastic,” he told Kerry Motorsport News. “Great stage – they call it the Omagh Grand Prix. The rally went really well, no problems all day the car and Mark were fantastic.
They finished fourth in class and 48th overall in a very strong Group N field.
“It was well worth the long trip North,” he added.
Rathmore school-teacher Declan Casey Michael McDaid to 38th overall and second in class in a Ford Escort MK2 RS1800. Casey’s main focus this year is the British Historic Rally Championship – more on that at a later date.
