The latest issue of Road Racing Ireland is in the shops now – Kerry Motorsport News is a proud contributor to the world’s only road racing magazine – we supplied the report from the August meeting of the Dunlop Irish Masters and a feature on how young Offaly rider Kevin Keyes defeated road racing legend Michael Dunlop at Mondello Park.

Road Racing Ireland goes for a Lark in the Park this month. Aberdare Park is the setting for Wales only road race. After impressive showings at Scarborough and Armoy, Davey Todd dominated the proceedings around the narrow tree-lined circuit on the Wilson Craig Hondas.

After a busy few weeks of BSB action, RRI’s Phil Wain has all the news from the races at Donington, Cadwell and Snetterton.

Hailing from the same Co. Antrim town of Ballymoney as the famous Dunlop road racing family, Adrian Archibald achieved huge success during a 20 year career in the sport before he retired eight years ago. Almost nothing has been heard from him since but RRI’s Gavan Caldwell has tracked Archie down in his new life, far from the scream of racing engines.

First run in 1927, the Carrowdore 100 was graced by all the greats of Irish road racing before its demise in 2000. RRI’s Harry Havelin recalls some of the glory days of the Co. Down event.

Arriving in the 2020 series with a mass of MotoGP experience and a BSB championship under his belt, Scott Redding was focused on knocking Jonathan Rea off his WSBK perch. He returned for a second attempt and this month he tells RRI’s Maurice Montgomery why he is changing direction as he chases his dream of being world champion.

The Temple Motorcycle Club celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021 by hosting the third round of the Ulster Superbike championship
at Bishopscourt during August. A month later the USBK action returned to Kirkistown as two firm superbike friends were locked in battle for the Belfast and District Club’s King of Kirkistown crown.

Got ten minutes to spare? As co-ordinator of the Dunlop Masters championship and the man who looks after media for Mondello Park, Fergus Brennan is the face of motorcycle racing at the County Kildare circuit and spent ten minutes with RRI.
