Kerry Motorsport News: Getting automotive PR results like no other

Kerry Motorsport News was honoured to work with Kerry Motor Club on its recent 20×20 news release.

Kerry Motor Club has become the first motorsport club in Ireland to gain 20×20 status.

20×20 is a nationwide programme to promote the active role women play in sports clubs all over Ireland, as competitors or on management and committee level.

The north-Kerry-based motor club will now work with the 20×20 organisation by setting out to reach the organisation’s three main targets.

Both hope to see a 20 per cent increase in media coverage of women in sport, a 20 per cent increase in female participation at a player, coach, referee and administrative level and more attendance at women’s games and events.

Kerry Motorsport News helped the Tralee club promote the news locally, nationally and internationally.

Radio Kerry was the first to pick up on the story, during its Sunday afternoon sports bulleting on October 25.  The following evening it Terrace Talk programme relayed the news to 1000s of listeners.  Nationally, also published an article on Sunday night.

On Bank Holiday Monday, ran a news story on its website.

The two leading local newspapers, The Kerryman and The Kerry’s Eye published the story on Wednesday and Thursday while the hugely popular and well-read Killarney Advertiser freesheet published the news on Friday.

The story was also picked up by Tralee Town and Country Magazine.

Radio na Gaeltachta and TG4 also carried Irish language news stories on the matter.

The story was also widely shared on social media platforms, most notably 20×20 and Formula Female.
