Kilcummin-based co-driver Damian Fleming was the only Kerry competitor to contest Sunday’s Mayo Rally – the opening round of both the Triton Showers National Rally Championship and the Sligo Pallets Border Rally Championships.
Navigating for his usual driver, Raymond Conlon, in a Toyota Corolla, they finished seventh overall, and second in Class 13 on the Castlebar-based event.
And while they did register for the Triton series, its seems they are concentrating on the latter series this year and their next planned outing is the Monaghan Rally at the end of April.
