New Zealand Rallying
Duagh native Noel Moloney finished will contest the second round of the New Zealand Rally Sprint championship on Sunday.
He already finished sixth overall on the recent Ruarangi Road Rallysprint – the opening round of the series.
Co-driving for local driver Warwick Redfern, the Mitsubishi Lancer E8 crew were running as high a third overall until an overshoot cost them time and put them back down the order.
The event took place near Whangarei, New Zealand’s most-northerly city three weeks ago.
The rallysprint series is a prelude to the main New Zealand Rally Championship and Moloney has plans to contest several rounds starting with the Otago Rally which will held from April 3 to 5,.
The Otago Rally is a round of both the New Zealand Rally Championship and a round of the FIA’s Asia Pacific Rally Championship.
