Carrick on Suir Forestry Rally
There are only two Kerry drivers on the entry list for Sunday’s Carrick on Suir Forestry Rally (at the time of going to press), the opening round of the Irish Forestry Rally Championship.
Mossie Costello, Kerry’s youngest rally driver at 15, will contest the J1000 element of the rally in his newly build Hyundai i10. The J1000 class allows youngsters to drive on the stages of rallies but a qualified co-driver must take over the car on the public road sections. Costello’s Hyundais is believed to be the first one of its kind in Europe.
Ian Horgan will drive his usual Vauxhall Nova with Derry Long on the notes.
MARSHALS MEETING
Marshals required for the Willie Loughman Carrick Forest Rally Sunday, February 16th.
Meeting at 11.30AM at Clonmel Oil, just outside Clonmel on the Waterford Road.
